Sammendrag
The program “ALL AGAINST AIDS – INFORMATION, EDUCATION AND CARE” is
coordinated by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cameroon (EELC). The program started
in September 2002, and is mainly financed by NORAD, in addition to the Cameroonian
government, Lutheran World Relief and Global Health Ministry.
The overall goal for the project is to stabilise and reduce the level of HIV infection in the
areas covered by EELC. This is to be done by using EELC’s entire church structure to inform
and sensitise about the nature of HIV/AIDS, how to prevent oneself from being infected and
how to associate with and care for people who are infected.
This report presents the conclusions and recommendations that result from the mid-way
evaluation that took place in November 2004. The goal was to evaluate the different aspects
and activities of the program in light of the overall goals. In short, the evaluation team
concludes that the program works very well and that its results are very satisfying.
