Disippelskap og etterfølgelse i NT : relevans for forkynnelse og kristent arbeid blant unge i dag?

Abstract

In this article we look at the picture of the relationship between Jesus and his disciples as portrayed in the New Testament. Unlike contemporary teachers he, himself, called those he wanted to have as his close followers. And in the daily walk with him they were taught by him, moulded by his own example, and equipped to serve together with him in his messianic ministry towards the Jewish people. Through this they were also prepared for the world wide ministry they were going to exercise after his own death, resurrection and ascension: to make disciples of people from all nations. In the Pauline letters we find the same perspective on the relationship between the apostle Paul and his fellow workers. He is teaching and training them both through his words and through his example, and through this preparing them for their own ministry. It is this relational aspect and teaching also by example that we find interesting with regard to Christian work among young people today.
