Sammendrag
This article aims to examine the utility of the notion «expansion» in order to capture core issues of missional preaching within a youth context. Current research emphasise how youth culture is marked by a coherent midi-narrative, where life, social relations and ambitions are regarded as part of a coherent and meaningful narrative of happiness and satisfaction. Informed by this cultural perspective, which often excludes a transcending or transgressing dimension, one may ask how Christian preaching should be developed? The author examines in particular how narratives and the faculty of imagination may contribute to expanding this rather confined perspective on life and destiny in order to introduce youths to Christian faith and life.
