This paper examines the role of w This research investigates the integration program that Caritas has developed for Ukrainian refugees who are resettling in Norway. It focuses on the difficulties that have been encountered by Caritas as well as the efficiency of the support services that have been provided by the organization. Through the utilization of qualitative research methods, such as conducting semi structured interviews with Caritas staff, volunteers, and refugees, as well as conducting literature review, this study intends to achieve a comprehensive understanding of the integration process that Caritas has been doing.
The assistance that Caritas provides to the refugees in gaining access to government services, such as registration for personal identification, tax registration, and communication with Norwegian authorities, is an essential component of the organizations mission to facilitate the integration of Ukrainian refugees. In addition, Caritas offers individualized support programs that include initiatives for empowering women, assistance with employment, assistance with the Norwegian language, counseling, and advocacy for legal rights.
Caritas encourages the Ukrainian refugees for self-sufficiency, confidence, and trust by utilizing the diakonia based approach. This will help increase the likelihood that refugees will successfully integrate into Norwegian society. The findings of my research highlighted the significance of Caritas holistic strategy, combining advocacy efforts with tangible aid. This strategy offers an insight for humanitarian organizations, policymakers, and communities that are supporting the populations that have been displaced.
The purpose of this research is to contribute to a better understanding and how the comprehensive support services in particular those provided by Caritas, facilitate the integration and well-being of Ukrainian refugees into Norwegian society. Specifically, it emphasizes the significance of individualized assistance in advancing the welfare of Ukrainian refugees in promoting the adoption of inclusive strategies for providing assistance to all the refugees all over the world.
